West Bengal Police facility announcement 2022

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced on 31st August, 2022 that the constable post can be applied up to the age of 30, not 27 years.




Till now the maximum age limit for applying for police constable jobs in the state was 27 years.  This time it has been extended to 30 years.  Mamata said that It takes a lot of time to get training. So there was a demand to increase the age. That decision was accepted.



The age limit is also increased for promotion.  The Chief Minister said that the age limit for promotion has also been increased from 27 years to 35 years.  Police, Civic Volunteers, Civic Police, all can apply under this.



 The salary of police drivers increased.  Kolkata Police drivers used to get a salary of Rs 11,500 till now.  State police drivers used to get a salary of Rs 13,500.  Mamata Banerjee said that the gap should be reduced to 13 thousand 500 and 15 thousand respectively.  The chief minister said that those who work as drivers as contractors will be given priority for permanent employment.



CM Mamata Banerjee also said that the ACP-DCP uniform allowance of Kolkata Police is 15 thousand .  Police personnel of all ranks will be given uniform allowance.  When a policeman dies, a member of his family gets the job.  CM Mamata Banerjee said that in their case, physical limitations will not be an obstacle in getting a job.

  10C Section regarding teachers' transfer (Supreme court order) Relief of teachers transferred away in teacher transfer case in Supreme Court.  The court said that before the implementation of Section 10-C of the Teacher Recruitment Act in the state, those employed are not covered by transfer.  During the hearing of this transfer case on Monday, the court asked the state why the working teachers were transferred 200 km away (Kolkata to Murshidabad)?  The court observed, 'There are many women in this profession.  So this is how we are thinking about the transfer. The Supreme Court said as an interim order during the hearing , that the teachers who have been transferred to neighbouring areas can continue teaching.  Rest of those transferred away can wait for further instructions.  However, those who have joined the job after the introduction of Section 10-C, are not getting any relief for now.  The state has been directed to submit an affidavit within the next 4 weeks regarding

The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly.   School Hol Login for Uniform SCMS on Banglar Shiksha Portal In the School Hol login, there would be 'Uniform SCMS' menu at the left menu panel clicking upon which following type of dashboard would appear. Hol in respect of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary Schools has the responsibility to issue work orders in favour of concerned SHG and update the status of the same in the online system. Click on the 'Work Order Issued' tab. List of all tagged SHGs would be available therein.  Then click on 'Submit' button in respect of the concerned SHG for which work order has been issued to update the status as 'Yes'. Following type of screen would appear in this regard. After getting delivery of the school uniforms, concerned Hol of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary School has the responsibility to acknowledge the same in the online system.   Educational institutions in West Bengal were closed for two years due to the pandemic. It has finally been opened to students in primary schools from February 2022. But the education department has brought a special bridge material to fill the gap of two years of study for the students. This bridge material has the concept of important topics of the previous two classes. This bridge material is named " Shekhar setu" (শেখার সেতু) .
