 The list of 269 primary school teachers dismissed by the High Court directive.


The Calcutta High Court directed the CBI investigation in the corruption case in the appointment of primary teachers. 269 Primary Teachers have been dismissed from jobs. Based on the 2014 primary TET, the second recruitment list of the primary education board published in 2017, the Calcutta High Court said it was illegal. According to that list, 269 were appointed.

The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). On 20th May, the Calcutta High Court directed the state government to settle the arrears of DA of West Bengal state government employees within 3 months. Now the difference between the DA of state employees and central government employees is 31%.  The Calcutta High Court has given a historic verdict in the DA case. State government employees have returned the smile on their faces. The High Court's decision in the original case was based on the Fifth Pay Commission. The more the central government raises the DA, the more the state government employees lag behind. As a result, the pay gap between central and state government employees has widened. The central government implemented the seventh pay commission from January 1, 2022. Now central government employees are getting 34% DA of their basic salary.
