Implementation of BaLA in Schools

Notification 

On the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, a novel program called BaLA (Building as Learning Aid) has been directed from the district level through the VC.  What to do according to Concept -

 Using school buildings as learning aids will help improve the quality of education among students.  Various elements of BaLA can be done in exterior and interior spaces such as classrooms, corridors, stairs, walls etc.

 To celebrate India's 75th Independence Day, students, teachers and community (guardians & local residents) are requested to explore school buildings as learning aids through participation.  Government, government aided, sponsored schools have to start this mission on 12th,13th and 14th August, 2022.

 BaLA concept should be introduced in every school.

 3000/Rs in case of primary schools and 5000/Rs in case of upper primary schools and up to 7000/Rs in case of middle and higher secondary schools can be spent on this occasion.  This money will be spent from the composite school grant of the school and later the necessary allocation will be allocated at the right time.

 An artist or specialist may be consulted for this work but the entire work will be under the supervision of teachers.  Because it will not be possible to work with someone from outside with this little money.  In this work, experienced students (in case of higher classes) will be added with the help of teachers with special experience.

 The work is being started with the aim that this concept, which was initially started on the occasion of Independence Day, will be well established in every school in the coming days.

 This work will be done across the entire school premises (as much as can be done within the mentioned amount).  However, in the schools which have already reflected this work, they will do the work in the rest of the school premises, school panchil or other places adjacent to the school.

 This work should be planned and implemented on the next three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so that the attraction of the program organized on the occasion of Independence Day will increase to a large extent.

Madam/Sir,

You are aware that Building as learning aid (BaLA) in school helps qualitative enhancement in education among the students by using the school building as learning aid.. The different elements of BaLA may be located in interior and exterior spaces like class rooms, corridors, stair cases, walls etc.

Now, in order to mark the 75th Independence Day of India you are requested to explore Building as learning aid (BaLA) through participation of Students, Teachers and communities in all Govt./ Govt. Aided/ Govt. Sponsored Schools in mission mode on and from 13th & 14th August, 2022.

You may make a suitable plan in consultation with DI/S'( Primary & Secondary) for proper implementation of the same.

You are also requested to make a photographic/video graphic documentation with illustration of this proposed activity and share the same with this office.

The expenditure for this purpose may be incurred from composite school grant .Necessary allocation will be made shortly at the following rate.

1. Primary School: @Rs.3000.00

2. Upper Primary School:@Rs.5000.00

3. Secondary & Higher Secondary School: @Rs.7000.00
