56 lakh school teachers to be trained through NISHTHA in 2021-2022
The central government has planned to train 30 lakh primary school teachers in the country. Again, in the 2021-22 academic year, the central government plans to train 5.6 million teachers through the NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers) training program. Improving primary education is the main objective of the Integrated Teachers Training Program. The program was launched on August 21, 2019. During the co-ro-na-vi-rus epidemic, 18 modules of NISHTHA were launched online. It is also translated into 10 regional languages. 27 states and 7 autonomous bodies under MoE and MoD started online NISHTHA courses in 10 languages.
