56 lakh school teachers to be trained through NISHTHA in 2021-2022

  The central government has planned to train 30 lakh primary school teachers in the country. Again, in the 2021-22 academic year, the central government plans to train 5.6 million teachers through the NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers) training program. Improving primary education is the main objective of the Integrated Teachers Training Program. The program was launched on August 21, 2019. During the co-ro-na-vi-rus epidemic, 18 modules of NISHTHA were launched online. It is also translated into 10 regional languages. 27 states and 7 autonomous bodies under MoE and MoD started online NISHTHA courses in 10 languages. Court order on Primary Teacher Recruitment in West Bengal

According to the NCTE guidelines, it is mandatory to take the TET exam for the recruitment of vacant primary teachers in the state every year, although the state government has not complied with that guideline. There were no TET exams for six years from 2014 to 2020. But the state government is illegally hiring 16,500 primary teachers. Several job candidates filed a case in the court on this allegation. That case was heard. The state government is once again facing the question of the High Court. Justice Rajarshi Bharadwaj summoned the state to report on several issues. The judge directed the state to answer those questions with an affidavit by March 1.
