On 20th May, the Calcutta High Court directed the state government to settle the arrears of DA of West Bengal state government employees within 3 months. Now the difference between the DA of state employees and central government employees is 31%.  The Calcutta High Court has given a historic verdict in the DA case. State government employees have returned the smile on their faces. The High Court's decision in the original case was based on the Fifth Pay Commission. The more the central government raises the DA, the more the state government employees lag behind. As a result, the pay gap between central and state government employees has widened. The central government implemented the seventh pay commission from January 1, 2022. Now central government employees are getting 34% DA of their basic salary. At the same time, state workers receive a DA of 3% of their basic pay, according to the Sixth Pay Commission. Now the DA difference between central and state employees is 31%. Ca
