Verdict of Arrears DA review petition

 A division bench of Calcutta High Court comprising Justice Harish Tandon and Justice Rabindranath Samant had last May ordered the state government employees to settle DA arrears within three months.  On May 20, the Calcutta High Court in a historic judgment said that DA is a fundamental right of government employees and the state government has to clear all the arrears DA (dearness allowance) of the Fifth Pay Commission within three months.  The deadline expired on August 19.  A week before the deadline, the state government filed a review petition on the High Court verdict.   After two consecutive days of hearing, Hon'ble Justice Harish Tandon and Justice Rabindranath Samanta stayed the verdict.  Finally, at 10.30 am on 22nd September, the verdict on the review petition of the state government was announced. Grievance portal for Utsashree teacher transfer

  Content of Notice: Memo.No. 1182/5014(III)/CSSC/ESTT/2022 Date: 19.09.2022 The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) is entrusted with the task of issuing recommendation letters for transfer of teaching and non-teaching staff through the "UTSASHREE" portal since August 2021. In the past one year, WBCSSC has transferred more than 19000 teaching and non-teaching staff (general transfer only) apart from Mutual Transfer. However, there are grievances as well on the part of the applicants. The main reasons behind such grievances can be classified into the following heads: 1. Delay in getting recommendation at WBCSSC end. 2. Sending back of applications to the Dls from WBCSSC. 3. Rank related issues. 4. Others.
