Maternity Leave for West Bengal Primary and High School Teacher

In this blog, I have discussed Maternity Leave.  This leave is applicable to female teachers of primary and secondary schools, non-teaching female staff.  However, there are separate notifications for female teachers or non-teaching female staff of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools.  Through the Latest Notification of Maternity Leave, Maternity Leave of female employees of various departments has been increased to 180 days. Notification of Maternity Leave    Primary Education Branch Department Latest G.O No.  573-SE(Pry.)/10R-1/99 dt.  15.09.2011. Secondary and HS Education Branch Department Latest G.O No.  is S/148 dt.  03.06.2011. The rules for teachers of all departments are almost the same regarding Maternity Leave. CASUAL LEAVE for West Bengal PRIMARY SCHOOL Teacher

Primary & High School teachers get different types of leave during their Service life.  The Government has its own circular according to the Department about all those leaves.  As such, the School Education Department (Elementary and Secondary Branch) has a specific memorandum on all leaves, where the Rules & Regulations of all leaves are mentioned.  School Education Department Primary Branch Leave Notification Memo Number is 453-SE(Pry.), Dated- 04/05/1999 and Secondary Branch Leave Notification Memo Number is 1541-Edn(S)/21-2/77, Dated-  15/12/1977 and here the Leave Rules of Non-teaching Staff are also mentioned. Terms and conditions of Quarantine leave

According to Rule 198 of WBSR, Pt.-1 When a contagious disease occurs in the family or household of a teacher/ employee of a school. So that no one else in the school is infected with that contagious disease by that teacher, then that teacher has to take "Quarantine leave". "Quarantine leave" is granted due to which infectious diseases? Scarlet fever   Plague (Bueekmonic bubonic),  Typhus Cerebro-Spinal meningitis Small-pox may be deliberated as contagious disease, chicken-pox shall not, however, be calculated as infections disease if not the M.O. or Public Health Officer considers that because of suspicion as to the true nature of the disease e.g. small-pox, There are reasons for giving such leave.
