'Paray shikshalaya' Scheme for primary school students in West Bengal
In the wake of this ongoing epidemic, the West Bengal state government is going to bring a new Scheme at the primary level. The name of the new Scheme is 'Paraya shikshalaya'.
Education Minister Bratya Basu will officially announce the project next Monday.
Notification |
Primary education closed for about 2 years due to the epidemic. Public health experts and doctors think that taking children's classes within the boundaries of the classroom can be dangerous. Keeping that in mind, reading will be introduced in the neighborhoods of the students.
According to the source, the teachers and para-teachers of the school will take classes in the neighborhoods of the students in the 'Paraya shikshalaya' Scheme.
This Scheme is for about 60 lakh primary students. At the moment, the state government is considering launching this Scheme only at the grassroots level. Since the school has been closed for almost two years, the education department has considered alternative classes for primary school children.
Most of the students' studies have been disrupted due to the closure of the school for a long time. Although the classes are currently being conducted online, there is concern among the experts about the extent to which the primary level students are able to adapt to the online studies. In this situation, the state government has taken this step( Paraya shikshalaya ) for the education of children from pre-primary to fourth class.
Just as it is difficult for primary school students to adapt to online education, it is also financially difficult for many students from middle class and poor families to take advantage of online classes. On the one hand, the school is closed for a long time, on the other hand, keeping in mind the multiple problems in the field of online education, 'Paraya shikshalaya' is to fulfill the goal of reviving the education of the primary school students.
