Holiday list 2024 in West Bengal

The official holiday list of 2024 has been published.  The Department of Finance (Audit) has released the list of holidays.  The finance department has published the holiday list by preparing three lists.  NI Act, State Government and Sectional Holidays these three lists have been published by the Finance Department (Audit).  This holiday list will be effective in all the offices under the state government.

There are a total of 48 holidays in the 2024 holiday list.  Among them there are 22 national holidays under the NI Act.  The list also includes 24 other holidays and sectional holidays declared by the state government.

  Notification  Content of Notification : Subject:  Clearance of 'Not Certified' (NC) cases of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) in respect of the in-service teachers. Under Section 29 of the NCTE Act, 1993, the Ministry of Education (Department of School Education & Literacy), Government of India has issued the direction vide F. Due to the pandemic, schools in West Bengal were closed for a long time. Normal reading has been reintroduced in schools. Instructions have come from the Board of Secondary Education for Summative evaluation 2022 in high schools . ______________New Update_______ Intra and inter District Transfer list The first list of all the primary teachers who have applied for transfer to The Commissioner of School Education in Bikash Bhavan since last December, 2021 has been published. The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly. In case of any discrepancy, the Chairpersons of the District Primary School Council and the District Inspectors of Schools (Primary Education) shall bring it to the notice of the School Education Department. Clarification regarding eligibility for appearing in TET exam

  Those enrolled in the Teacher Training Course (TTC) are eligible to appear in the TET examination  There is no compulsion to appear in the final year or TET exam result. Any such student admitted to a teacher training course will be considered in the 'PURSUING' category. NCTE has issued a notification citing the order passed by the Supreme Court.   Till now students were considered eligible to take the TET exam only when they reached the final semester / year. That rule is changing, though. From now on you can sit for the TET exam only after enrolling in the course.   When this was litigated in the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court gave a broader interpretation to the term 'PURSUING'. NCTE issued this notification after this.
