Holiday list 2024 in West Bengal

The official holiday list of 2024 has been published.  The Department of Finance (Audit) has released the list of holidays.  The finance department has published the holiday list by preparing three lists.  NI Act, State Government and Sectional Holidays these three lists have been published by the Finance Department (Audit).  This holiday list will be effective in all the offices under the state government.

There are a total of 48 holidays in the 2024 holiday list.  Among them there are 22 national holidays under the NI Act.  The list also includes 24 other holidays and sectional holidays declared by the state government.

In reference to the School Education Department’s Memo No. 430-Sc/G dated 17.06.2025, a revised mechanism has been introduced to simplify the transfer process. 🔄 What’s New? The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly.
