Big changes in the curriculum from pre-primary to formulation of new education policy

 This time Yoga and Ayurveda are going to be included in the school curriculum from pre-primary. The work of drafting the syllabus is already in the final stage. Yoga and Ayurveda are compulsory for all classes up to class XII. The syllabus for each class has already been drafted. It will be implemented with the approval of the central government. This was reported by Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonwal.


It is to be noted that Narendra Modi's government has formulated a new education policy in 2020.



The central government has taken steps to change the education sector by changing the 34-year continuous education policy. There is talk of including indigenous science and technology in the school syllabus. A steering committee and a task force like that have been formed.

Apart from this, special emphasis has been laid on vocational education in the new education policy. According to the new education policy, emphasis has been laid on vocational education to increase math and science thinking among students from school life. Students will learn coding from class 6. Besides, Ayurveda and Yoga have been made compulsory at school level in the new national education policy. The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) in Jaipur will be in charge of the rest of the work.

  10C Section regarding teachers' transfer (Supreme court order) Relief of teachers transferred away in teacher transfer case in Supreme Court.  The court said that before the implementation of Section 10-C of the Teacher Recruitment Act in the state, those employed are not covered by transfer.  During the hearing of this transfer case on Monday, the court asked the state why the working teachers were transferred 200 km away (Kolkata to Murshidabad)?  The court observed, 'There are many women in this profession.  So this is how we are thinking about the transfer. The Supreme Court said as an interim order during the hearing , that the teachers who have been transferred to neighbouring areas can continue teaching.  Rest of those transferred away can wait for further instructions.  However, those who have joined the job after the introduction of Section 10-C, are not getting any relief for now.  The state has been directed to submit an affidavit within the next 4 weeks regarding

  School Hol Login for Uniform SCMS on Banglar Shiksha Portal In the School Hol login, there would be 'Uniform SCMS' menu at the left menu panel clicking upon which following type of dashboard would appear. Hol in respect of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary Schools has the responsibility to issue work orders in favour of concerned SHG and update the status of the same in the online system. Click on the 'Work Order Issued' tab. List of all tagged SHGs would be available therein.  Then click on 'Submit' button in respect of the concerned SHG for which work order has been issued to update the status as 'Yes'. Following type of screen would appear in this regard.   Educational institutions in West Bengal were closed for two years due to the pandemic. It has finally been opened to students in primary schools from February 2022. But the education department has brought a special bridge material to fill the gap of two years of study for the students. This bridge material has the concept of important topics of the previous two classes. This bridge material is named " Shekhar setu" (শেখার সেতু) .
