HS and Madhyamik exam 2021

Last Thursday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that secondary and higher secondary examinations would be held in the epidemic. The Chief Minister further said that these examinations will have to be done in accordance with the rules of the epidemic.

The Chief Minister directed that the two boards and the school education department would exchange views on the routine and other matters of secondary and higher secondary examinations. As per the directive of the Chief Minister, the Board of Secondary Education and the Council of Higher Secondary Education have already started discussions.

In this discussion, the Board of Secondary Education has decided to take the written exam number 45. As the question paper has already been prepared, the students are being given the opportunity to answer any question as per the instructions of the Chief Minister. That means the question paper of number 90 will be given to the students. From there the students will answer the number 45. The proposal is currently being sent to the school education department for final approval.

On the other hand, the Council of Higher Secondary Education has not yet reached a final decision on the number division of higher secondary education exams. According to sources, the Council of Higher Secondary Education is in favor of taking exams only on important subjects. In that case multiple subjects may be excluded from the test. Psychology, Anthropology, Agronomy, Environmental Science, Health and Physical Education, Music, Visual Arts, Sociology, Persian, Arabic, French, Home Management may not be examined. In that case these subjects may be numbered according to the number obtained in the school. This proposal is also going to be sent to the school education department by the Council of Higher Secondary Education. Once the final approval is received, the Council of Higher Secondary Education will take written exam on which subjects and the Council of Higher Secondary Education will give final information on which subjects it will not take.
