Madhyamik exam ( MP or Secondary Examination ) in West Bengal is an opportunity for students to test their skills for the first time in life. The way forward depends on this examination. After passing this examination, students move forward with a smile on their face.

Students who can not pass the Madhyamik exam do not have the morale to move forward.

Schools have been closed for a long time due to the Corona epidemic in 2020.  As a result, students are not able to prepare for exams properly.  The year 2020 is coming to an end and the schedule of secondary examination will be announced in 2021.  Due to the accumulation of different thoughts in the head, students are not able to concentrate properly for secondary exams.


How are students preparing for the 2021 Madhyamik exam?


In the Corona situation, the way the students are preparing for the secondary examination is as follows:


  • Teachers are conducting online classes with the help of various social media, so that the students can be prepared for the secondary examination after completing the syllabus.


  • The Department of Education has uploaded various Activity Tasks, Virtual Class, Videos for the students on Banglar Shiksha portal, so that the students can understand the content of each Subject.


  • Many teachers have uploaded various Assignment Modules on Banglar Shiksha portal so that students can easily understand any content.


  • Students are benefiting with the help of Virtual class by different TV channels.


Madhyamik Students Test Exam.



Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that Madhyamik students will not have to take the Test Exam in 2021.  Students will take the Madhyamik exam directly.  The state government has taken such a decision as schools have been closed for a long time due to the Corona situation.

According to various news outlets, the syllabus range of secondary examinations in 2021 may be reduced.  However, no notification has been issued by the government yet.

On 25/11/2020, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was issuing a notification stating that the syllabus for Madhyamik Pariksha (S.E.) has been reduced by 30-35% in 2021.

It is likely that in 2021, the number of MCQ questions in the Madhyamik examination will be higher than in the previous year.
