Rules for teachers' leave in Paray shikshalaya

The "Paray Shikshalaya" program has been running in our state since 7th February. As long as the school program is going on in the neighborhood, can any teacher apply for any kind of leave?


Although there is no notification from the education department yet, an order has been issued from Bankura DPSC, which specifically mentions the issue of leave application of teachers.

It is hoped that similar orders from other DPSCs will be released soon.


Following are the issues mentioned in the order published by Bankura DPSC regarding teachers' leave.





  • Leave should be approved prior to going any kind of leave except maternity leave and leave on medical grounds.


  • CCL & Paternity leave Prayer for the purpose of MP & HS Exams should be approved for 15 days including the date of Exams.


  • Leave applications on Medical ground should be considered as per weightage of the case.


  • In any special ground authority will consider those applications.

  10C Section regarding teachers' transfer (Supreme court order) Relief of teachers transferred away in teacher transfer case in Supreme Court.  The court said that before the implementation of Section 10-C of the Teacher Recruitment Act in the state, those employed are not covered by transfer.  During the hearing of this transfer case on Monday, the court asked the state why the working teachers were transferred 200 km away (Kolkata to Murshidabad)?  The court observed, 'There are many women in this profession.  So this is how we are thinking about the transfer. The Supreme Court said as an interim order during the hearing , that the teachers who have been transferred to neighbouring areas can continue teaching.  Rest of those transferred away can wait for further instructions.  However, those who have joined the job after the introduction of Section 10-C, are not getting any relief for now.  The state has been directed to submit an affidavit within the next 4 weeks regarding

Home District transfer for primary school teacher

______________New Update_______ Intra and inter District Transfer list The first list of all the primary teachers who have applied for transfer to The Commissioner of School Education in Bikash Bhavan since last December, 2021 has been published. The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly.   A memorandum regarding Admission has been published on 25/11/2020 from School Education Department (W.B.) in Banglar Shiksha Portal. The issues mentioned in this memorandum are briefly discussed here. Admission rules in Schools for Elementary Classes According to the RTE Act 2009, all children between the ages of 6 and 14 must be admitted to a suitable class in a neighborhood school. Primary education, including pre-primary education, will be provided free of charge.   Educational institutions in West Bengal were closed for two years due to the pandemic. It has finally been opened to students in primary schools from February 2022. But the education department has brought a special bridge material to fill the gap of two years of study for the students. This bridge material has the concept of important topics of the previous two classes. This bridge material is named " Shekhar setu" (শেখার সেতু) . Calculate the arrears of DA of West Bengal government employees and teachers

On 20th May, the Calcutta High Court directed the state government to settle the arrears of DA of West Bengal state government employees within 3 months. Now the difference between the DA of state employees and central government employees is 31%.  The Calcutta High Court has given a historic verdict in the DA case. State government employees have returned the smile on their faces. The High Court's decision in the original case was based on the Fifth Pay Commission. The more the central government raises the DA, the more the state government employees lag behind. As a result, the pay gap between central and state government employees has widened. The central government implemented the seventh pay commission from January 1, 2022. Now central government employees are getting 34% DA of their basic salary.
