Sub : Conveyance allowance of physically challenged teachers and non-teaching employees of aided/sponsored schools


It has been brought to the notice of the Government that some of the teachers and employees of aided/sponsored schools who are physically challenged are not getting conveyance allowance for some reason or the other. The physically challenged employees include orthopedically handicapped individuals with minimum of 40% permanent partial disabilities of either upper or lower limbs or together and blind Secondary teachers and non-teaching staff.


A letter was sent earlier vide No. 91-GA dated 08.02.2022 on the same subject to all District Inspector of Schools(SE).


In terms of G.O. no. 39-SE(Law) dated 14.01.2021 the amount of such conveyance allowance is 5% of basic pay subject to a maximum of Rs. 800/- per month w.e.f. 01.01.2020.


He is requested to release such allowance on a regular basis in favour of all such teachers and non-teaching employees who are in possession of valid certification of their disability indicating at least 40% permanent partial disabilities of either upper or lower limbs or together and blindness in case of Secondary teachers and non-teaching staff.


In all other cases where such teachers and employees are not getting conveyance allowance due to lack of certification District Inspector of Schools(SE) may be requested to take proactive steps in consultation with the designated medical authority, so that their conveyance allowance can be introduced or resumed, as the case may be, at the earliest.


He is also requested to send numbers of the eligible beneficiaries and those who are not getting conveyance allowance at present.

  10C Section regarding teachers' transfer (Supreme court order) Relief of teachers transferred away in teacher transfer case in Supreme Court.  The court said that before the implementation of Section 10-C of the Teacher Recruitment Act in the state, those employed are not covered by transfer.  During the hearing of this transfer case on Monday, the court asked the state why the working teachers were transferred 200 km away (Kolkata to Murshidabad)?  The court observed, 'There are many women in this profession.  So this is how we are thinking about the transfer. The Supreme Court said as an interim order during the hearing , that the teachers who have been transferred to neighbouring areas can continue teaching.  Rest of those transferred away can wait for further instructions.  However, those who have joined the job after the introduction of Section 10-C, are not getting any relief for now.  The state has been directed to submit an affidavit within the next 4 weeks regarding

______________New Update_______ Intra and inter District Transfer list The first list of all the primary teachers who have applied for transfer to The Commissioner of School Education in Bikash Bhavan since last December, 2021 has been published. The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly. In case of any discrepancy, the Chairpersons of the District Primary School Council and the District Inspectors of Schools (Primary Education) shall bring it to the notice of the School Education Department. New Module Mark entry process in Banglar shiksha SMS portal Prerequisite For Marks entry in Banglar shiksha portal Please check the medium(s), which is/are showing in the Medium dropdown in Marks Entry page from Hol login. If there is/are any improper medium(s), please select that/those medium(s) (one by one) and then select the class, section, subject (any) and click on Search button; student's/students' name will be available in the list against the particular medium. Uniform Distribution on Banglar Shiksha Portal

  School Hol Login for Uniform SCMS on Banglar Shiksha Portal In the School Hol login, there would be 'Uniform SCMS' menu at the left menu panel clicking upon which following type of dashboard would appear. Hol in respect of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary Schools has the responsibility to issue work orders in favour of concerned SHG and update the status of the same in the online system. Click on the 'Work Order Issued' tab. List of all tagged SHGs would be available therein.  Then click on 'Submit' button in respect of the concerned SHG for which work order has been issued to update the status as 'Yes'. Following type of screen would appear in this regard. After getting delivery of the school uniforms, concerned Hol of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary School has the responsibility to acknowledge the same in the online system.   A memorandum regarding Admission has been published on 25/11/2020 from School Education Department (W.B.) in Banglar Shiksha Portal. The issues mentioned in this memorandum are briefly discussed here. Admission rules in Schools for Elementary Classes According to the RTE Act 2009, all children between the ages of 6 and 14 must be admitted to a suitable class in a neighborhood school. Primary education, including pre-primary education, will be provided free of charge. Sekhar setu ( শেখার সেতু ) for primary school

  Educational institutions in West Bengal were closed for two years due to the pandemic. It has finally been opened to students in primary schools from February 2022. But the education department has brought a special bridge material to fill the gap of two years of study for the students. This bridge material has the concept of important topics of the previous two classes. This bridge material is named " Shekhar setu" (শেখার সেতু) . "Shekhar Setu" (শেখার সেতু) textbooks or bridge materials will be provided from first grade to fifth grade.
