'Students' week' Programme for Primary and Junior high school 

The Students week may be celebrated with the following activities:


  • Distribution of Subhecha Barta of HCM to the guardians.



  • Distribution of Free Text Books and Khatas to the guardians.


  • Distribution of Mid-Day Meal to the guardians.


  • Distribution of Activity Tasks to the guardians.



  • Meeting with the guardians and discussing with them regarding Activity Tasks, methods of enhancing reading habits of students,facilitating home based learning, maintaining Covid protocols at home and thriving through this pandemic situation etc.


  • Interaction with local and eminent Educational Personalities with the guardians.


  • Display of IEC materials (as determined by competent authority of the State/District) in the school premise


  • Door to door visits by the Para Teachers, Special Educators or SSK/MSK Teachers to the homes of age specific children in the locality to check the well-being and help them in studies and other education related matters.



'Students' week' Programme for Secondary and HS school 


The week long activities may focus on facilitating Students Credit Card

camps, Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship camps,

distribution of Textbooks, HCM's Greetings to students and the following

activities:


  • Distribution of Subhecha Barta of HCM to the students.


  • Distribution of Free Text Books and Khatas to the students.


  • Distribution of Aids and Appliances, Braille Books and Large Print books to CWSN.


  • Display of IEC materials as determined by competent authority of the State/ District.


  • Organizing cultural programmes like Recitation, Singing, Dance performance, Solo drama, Dance drama, Instrumental music etc.


  •  Organizing quiz, debate, elocution.


  • Reading of stories written by students themselves or by peer students.


  • Organizing programmes like "Meet the icon", where renowned and iconic persons of the locality may be invited to interact with students.


  • Organizing awareness cum help desk for Student Credit Card,SVMCM. Aikyashree, Pre and Post Metric Scholarship.


  • Holding of Health Camps Registration, Updation and Renewal of Kanyashree beneficiaries in Kanyashree portal.


  • House to house visits by the Teachers to assist and advise the students in education related matters.


'Students' week' Programme for College and University Level 

Students' week would be observed in all Govt. and Govt. Aided colleges / Universities / Educational Institutions of the State in line with the spirit of the programme specially focussing on the facilitation of Student Credit Card camps and other activities like:



  • Conducting online seminar / workshop and dissemination of information regarding Student Welfare schemes and other pertinent issues.


  • Organizing Student Credit Card awareness camp cum help desk.


  • Organizing awareness camp cum help desk for SVMCM,Aikyashree and Post Metric Scholarship.


  • Organizing Health Check-up camps and psychological counselling.


  • Display of IEC materials as determined by competent authority of the State/ District.


  • Organizing drawing/poster competition.

  • Quiz Competition.


  • Cultural programmes like singing competition, recitation competition, creative writing competition.


  • Organizing Career Counselling sessions.


  • Holding seminars on Digital Education or blend mode of education with emphasis on students' purlicipulion.


  • Interaction with the guardians may be planned on 1st and 2nd January.


  • Interactive exposure visit by School students to different Colleges/ Universities ( concerned HOIs may plan in consultation with schools in their catchment areas)

Merit list of SSC SLST 9-10 The School Service Commission (SSC) has published the revised merit list for the appointment of SLST 9-10 teachers on the orders of the Calcutta High Court.  The merit list was released on the Commission's website on Thursday evening.  The High Court had set a deadline of July 15 for the publication of this merit list.  The list has been published following that instruction.  Incidentally, in 2018, the process of recruitment of SLST IX-X teachers started.  About 11,800 vacancies were filled in seven counselling sessions.  However, the merit list published by the commission at that time did not include the name, ethnic identity and rank of the candidate.  Some of the candidates on the waiting list had filed a case in the Calcutta High Court challenging that.  Following the case, Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay directed the SSC to publish the merit list with names and numbers.   10C Section regarding teachers' transfer (Supreme court order) Relief of teachers transferred away in teacher transfer case in Supreme Court.  The court said that before the implementation of Section 10-C of the Teacher Recruitment Act in the state, those employed are not covered by transfer.  During the hearing of this transfer case on Monday, the court asked the state why the working teachers were transferred 200 km away (Kolkata to Murshidabad)?  The court observed, 'There are many women in this profession.  So this is how we are thinking about the transfer. The Supreme Court said as an interim order during the hearing , that the teachers who have been transferred to neighbouring areas can continue teaching.  Rest of those transferred away can wait for further instructions.  However, those who have joined the job after the introduction of Section 10-C, are not getting any relief for now.  The state has been directed to submit an affidavit within the next 4 weeks regarding

Home District transfer for primary school teacher

______________New Update_______ Intra and inter District Transfer list The first list of all the primary teachers who have applied for transfer to The Commissioner of School Education in Bikash Bhavan since last December, 2021 has been published. The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly. In case of any discrepancy, the Chairpersons of the District Primary School Council and the District Inspectors of Schools (Primary Education) shall bring it to the notice of the School Education Department.   A memorandum regarding Admission has been published on 25/11/2020 from School Education Department (W.B.) in Banglar Shiksha Portal. The issues mentioned in this memorandum are briefly discussed here. Admission rules in Schools for Elementary Classes According to the RTE Act 2009, all children between the ages of 6 and 14 must be admitted to a suitable class in a neighborhood school. Primary education, including pre-primary education, will be provided free of charge. It has been decided that admission in primary class including pre-primary class will be admitted through draw of lots if the number of candidates admitted in any one class exceeds the number of seats available for admission. Sekhar setu ( শেখার সেতু ) for primary school

  Educational institutions in West Bengal were closed for two years due to the pandemic. It has finally been opened to students in primary schools from February 2022. But the education department has brought a special bridge material to fill the gap of two years of study for the students. This bridge material has the concept of important topics of the previous two classes. This bridge material is named " Shekhar setu" (শেখার সেতু) . "Shekhar Setu" (শেখার সেতু) textbooks or bridge materials will be provided from first grade to fifth grade. Calculate the arrears of DA of West Bengal government employees and teachers

On 20th May, the Calcutta High Court directed the state government to settle the arrears of DA of West Bengal state government employees within 3 months. Now the difference between the DA of state employees and central government employees is 31%.  The Calcutta High Court has given a historic verdict in the DA case. State government employees have returned the smile on their faces. The High Court's decision in the original case was based on the Fifth Pay Commission. The more the central government raises the DA, the more the state government employees lag behind. As a result, the pay gap between central and state government employees has widened. The central government implemented the seventh pay commission from January 1, 2022. Now central government employees are getting 34% DA of their basic salary.
