Student data update on Banglar Shiksha Portal

You are aware that at the initial stage of students’ data entry in Banglar Shiksha Portal, guardian’s name was mandatory instead of parents’ names though at present both the parents’ names are mandatory fields. It is noted that Father’s name is essential in case of issuance of Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate in respect of a student.
Now, it has been observed that a huge number of students are there in many schools whose parents’ data need to be updated. It has also been observed that the gender of the student is incorrect and therefore need to be rectified. It is also pointed out that as per previous instruction, mobile numbers of all students need to be verified and updated, if needed. These details are to be updated using the HOI login in e-Portal.
 Therefore, you are requested to take necessary actions and monitor personally so that all data in respect of the students may once again be verified and updated accordingly, if needed.
In this article I will show you how to change student data.
There are two ways to add or correct student data in Banglar Shiksha portal.
With the help of "Student Profile Edit / Download" option
With this option you can change the data of the students (currently) studying in your school.

With the help of "Update Student Basic Details" option
In this way you can change the data of the transferred students.
You can change the data of students you have "transfer out" but if no other school has "transfer in" them yet.
You can follow the steps in this procedure …
🔘Login to Banglar Shiksha e portal.
🔘Notice the options in the site bar.
🔘Click the "Update Student Basic Details" option.
🔘Type the student code.
🔘Click "Search Student".
🔘A new page will open.
Update student basic data

______________New Update_______ Intra and inter District Transfer list The first list of all the primary teachers who have applied for transfer to The Commissioner of School Education in Bikash Bhavan since last December, 2021 has been published. The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly. In case of any discrepancy, the Chairpersons of the District Primary School Council and the District Inspectors of Schools (Primary Education) shall bring it to the notice of the School Education Department. Uniform Distribution on Banglar Shiksha Portal

  School Hol Login for Uniform SCMS on Banglar Shiksha Portal In the School Hol login, there would be 'Uniform SCMS' menu at the left menu panel clicking upon which following type of dashboard would appear. Hol in respect of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary Schools has the responsibility to issue work orders in favour of concerned SHG and update the status of the same in the online system. Click on the 'Work Order Issued' tab. List of all tagged SHGs would be available therein.  Then click on 'Submit' button in respect of the concerned SHG for which work order has been issued to update the status as 'Yes'. Following type of screen would appear in this regard. After getting delivery of the school uniforms, concerned Hol of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary School has the responsibility to acknowledge the same in the online system. Merit list of SSC SLST 9-10 and 11-12

Merit list of SSC SLST 9-10 The School Service Commission (SSC) has published the revised merit list for the appointment of SLST 9-10 teachers on the orders of the Calcutta High Court.  The merit list was released on the Commission's website on Thursday evening.  The High Court had set a deadline of July 15 for the publication of this merit list.  The list has been published following that instruction.  Incidentally, in 2018, the process of recruitment of SLST IX-X teachers started.  About 11,800 vacancies were filled in seven counselling sessions.  However, the merit list published by the commission at that time did not include the name, ethnic identity and rank of the candidate.  Some of the candidates on the waiting list had filed a case in the Calcutta High Court challenging that.  Following the case, Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay directed the SSC to publish the merit list with names and numbers. New Module Mark entry process in Banglar shiksha SMS portal Prerequisite For Marks entry in Banglar shiksha portal Please check the medium(s), which is/are showing in the Medium dropdown in Marks Entry page from Hol login. If there is/are any improper medium(s), please select that/those medium(s) (one by one) and then select the class, section, subject (any) and click on Search button; student's/students' name will be available in the list against the particular medium.   The list of 269 primary school teachers dismissed by the High Court directive. The Calcutta High Court directed the CBI investigation in the corruption case in the appointment of primary teachers. 269 Primary Teachers have been dismissed from jobs.
