Distribution of MDM to students in West Bengal School

ORDER
AS announced by the Hon'ble Chief Minister and instructed by Principal Secretary,SE Dept. it is hereby ordered to distribute rice & Potato @2kg each per student per month under CMDM Programme during the closure of schools due to COVID-19 to the guardians at school level in following manners:
a)
It is suggested to make suitable number of distribution points to avoid gathering of guardians at a time.
b)
Schools having classes from 1 to 8 will also plan accordingly so that rice and Potato at above scale may be distributed to the guardians of the students without crowding the place as stated above.
c)
Potato @Rs18 per kg as communicated by Deptt of WCD& SW vide no 686/ICDM
Dte dt 17.03.2020 (copy enclosed)may be purchased by the respective school's authoriy from local the market, if not readily availably in the schools and separate packets be made before hand so that distribution takes place smoothly on Monday &Tuesday as stated above.
d)
A control room will open at DI, SE & PE level and also at SDO Offices and BDO Offices
for urban/ rural area respectively to supervise the entire programme.

A monitoring team shall be formed at SI level comprising of SIs, Siksha Bandhu, AI
and Schools education and SSM staffs who will visit schools under their jurisdiction from today
onwards till the completion of task in their respective areas.
f)
BDOs shall inform the Local Police to maintain Law & Order. BDO shall also ensure the
presence of CCH for arrangements and packaging.
h)
HM/Head Teacher/TIC shall remain present at the schools form tomorrow for the prior
arrangements.

- Potatoes @ Rs 22 per kg, Pulses 250gm @ Rs.23 and Sanitizer 50ml @ Rs. 22 as communicated by Project Director, CMDMP, School Education Deptt. vide no 228(24)-ES (CMDMP)/GENL-26/2014- Dte 17.06.2020 (copy enclosed) shall be purchased in above mentioned rate.Potatoes @ Rs. 22 per kg shall be purchased by the respective schools authority from the local market. Pulses & Sanitizer shall be purchased centrally vide Memo No.218/MDM & 219/MDM dtd. 29.06.2020 and the same will be supplied directly to the Blocks & Municipalities in Paschim Medinipur district by 04.07.2020. The bill shall be paid by therespective Block/ Municipalities against placing bills.
- The "Iron & Folic Acid suppliment tablets" under WIFS Programme also must be supplied to each student for 1 month.
- SDOS/ BDOS with the help of ACMOH / BMOH and Sls shall ensure the distribution of the tablets along with the rice and potato packets.
- The school premises for the distribution points shall be cleaned and sanitized in proper manner by 06.07.2020.
- The list of students of hostels who live in another blocks within the district shall be shared with the residential blocks by the concerned Sls by 06.07.2020 and the BDOS of the residential blocks shall arrange for home delivery.
- For the containment zones, if any, a separate plan for home delivery shall be prepared by the BDOS beforehand.

- HMs/Head teachers/Teacher in charge, the teacher looking after MDM in the school along with any other teaching/non-teaching staff of the school as may be needed by the Head of the Institute will remain present and monitor Isupervise/ implement the task.
- Fund available under appropriate head of MDM at schools shall be utilised for the purchase of Potato from the local market. However the rate for Potato should be as stated above.
- Gurdians must be informed through public address system by 06.07.2020. Schools should ensure adequate safety measures like hand sanitizer, soap etc at the all distribution points. Guardians with symptoms of COVID-19 or with history of foreign travel in recent time need not come. Students must not come or accompany their guardians.
- The schools shall prepare distribution register, ensure record keeping of receipt as per rules and regulations.
- Sls will prepare a compiled report of distribution on daily basis in a format to be given soon and send to the undersigned.Advance planning and necessary steps shall be taken immediately by all concerned for succeful implementation of the programme.
