The Hon'ble Chief Minister announced during the worship of Saraswati that every teacher will be posting in his own district. That is, teachers will be transferred to their districts.

 Instructions for collecting teachers' names, school names, residential addresses and other information in this circular.
The above data has not yet been started.
So, check your profile on iOSMS to see if it's OK.
If there is any mistake, make correction it.

 Because, if the information you send yourself and the information in iOSMS is mismatched, your transfer may be problem.


 Primary school teachers do not have login ID in iOSMS.

Check your details,


If any incorrect, apply to SI/S for correction.He will edit from his login on iOSMS.

  10C Section regarding teachers' transfer (Supreme court order) Relief of teachers transferred away in teacher transfer case in Supreme Court.  The court said that before the implementation of Section 10-C of the Teacher Recruitment Act in the state, those employed are not covered by transfer.  During the hearing of this transfer case on Monday, the court asked the state why the working teachers were transferred 200 km away (Kolkata to Murshidabad)?  The court observed, 'There are many women in this profession.  So this is how we are thinking about the transfer. The Supreme Court said as an interim order during the hearing , that the teachers who have been transferred to neighbouring areas can continue teaching.  Rest of those transferred away can wait for further instructions.  However, those who have joined the job after the introduction of Section 10-C, are not getting any relief for now.  The state has been directed to submit an affidavit within the next 4 weeks regarding

Medical leave rules and conditions for Employees/teachers in west bengal

👉Any teacher can take Medical Leave for personal illness. 👉Employees will receive 15 days of medical leave for one year. Formula: Suppose a teacher has been in employment for "N"  years since joining. So his total medical leave=(N-1)×15 However, there is an upper limit to medical Leave according to different types of teachers(Primary/upper/HS). Primary Teachers can take maximum 180  days of medical leave until retirement. 👉No medical leave available for 1 year  from the date of joining. 👉The number of medical leave  will be added to the service book. 👉Medical Leave can be affixed or prefixed with long holidays, puja vocation, summer vocation.(But does not apply to casual leave). 👉Medical leave is not an employee's right, like other holidays. 👉No medical certificate will be required if a teacher takes medical leave for 3 consecutive days.But if a teacher takes medical leave for more than 3 consecutive days, it is neces

Due to the pandemic, schools in West Bengal were closed for a long time. Normal reading has been reintroduced in schools. Instructions have come from the Board of Secondary Education for Summative evaluation 2022 in high schools . ______________New Update_______ Intra and inter District Transfer list The first list of all the primary teachers who have applied for transfer to The Commissioner of School Education in Bikash Bhavan since last December, 2021 has been published. The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly. In case of any discrepancy, the Chairpersons of the District Primary School Council and the District Inspectors of Schools (Primary Education) shall bring it to the notice of the School Education Department. An action taken report has to be positively sent to this end within a week. This has the approval of the appropriate authority. This matter should be treated as MOST URGENT." Click here

CASUAL LEAVE for West Bengal PRIMARY SCHOOL Teacher

Primary & High School teachers get different types of leave during their Service life.  The Government has its own circular according to the Department about all those leaves.  As such, the School Education Department (Elementary and Secondary Branch) has a specific memorandum on all leaves, where the Rules & Regulations of all leaves are mentioned.  School Education Department Primary Branch Leave Notification Memo Number is 453-SE(Pry.), Dated- 04/05/1999 and Secondary Branch Leave Notification Memo Number is 1541-Edn(S)/21-2/77, Dated-  15/12/1977 and here the Leave Rules of Non-teaching Staff are also mentioned. Attention One thing to remember is that any type of leave is not the right of employees.   (Leave cannot be claimed as right and the sanctioning authority reserves the right to refuse or revoke leave of any description, if, in the opinion of the authority, the exigencies of the circumstances demand, Memo No.  453-SE(Pry.), dated- 04.05.1999 as per clause (iii) of 8.

Maternity Leave for West Bengal Primary and High School Teacher

In this blog, I have discussed Maternity Leave.  This leave is applicable to female teachers of primary and secondary schools, non-teaching female staff.  However, there are separate notifications for female teachers or non-teaching female staff of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools.  Through the Latest Notification of Maternity Leave, Maternity Leave of female employees of various departments has been increased to 180 days. Notification of Maternity Leave    Primary Education Branch Department Latest G.O No.  573-SE(Pry.)/10R-1/99 dt.  15.09.2011.   A memorandum regarding Admission has been published on 25/11/2020 from School Education Department (W.B.) in Banglar Shiksha Portal. The issues mentioned in this memorandum are briefly discussed here. Admission rules in Schools for Elementary Classes According to the RTE Act 2009, all children between the ages of 6 and 14 must be admitted to a suitable class in a neighborhood school. Primary education, including pre-primary education, will be provided free of charge. It has been decided that admission in primary class including pre-primary class will be admitted through draw of lots if the number of candidates admitted in any one class exceeds the number of seats available for admission.
