3% DA announced by CM Mamata Banerjee, Effective from January 2021


Finally, the state government workers got good news.  On 03/12/2020, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is announcing DA for Government Employees.  There has been a long-running lawsuit between the state government and an organization of government employees seeking payment of arrears and increase in DA.  This announcement of the Chief Minister is significant enough at this time.  State government employees will get 3% DA at the beginning of the new year.  This will cost the state government Rs 2,000 crore.


On 03/12/2020, She heard their grievances and complaints in a meeting with the state government workers ’organization.  After that the Chief Minister informed about giving DA.  On this day, the Chief Minister said,

“Covid situation is going on.  The state government has less money.  However, like every year, you will get 3% DA in January.  I will raise money from anywhere. ”

The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly. CASUAL LEAVE for West Bengal PRIMARY SCHOOL Teacher

Primary & High School teachers get different types of leave during their Service life.  The Government has its own circular according to the Department about all those leaves.  As such, the School Education Department (Elementary and Secondary Branch) has a specific memorandum on all leaves, where the Rules & Regulations of all leaves are mentioned.  School Education Department Primary Branch Leave Notification Memo Number is 453-SE(Pry.), Dated- 04/05/1999 and Secondary Branch Leave Notification Memo Number is 1541-Edn(S)/21-2/77, Dated-  15/12/1977 and here the Leave Rules of Non-teaching Staff are also mentioned. Allowance for polling personnel in West Bengal Assembly elections 2021

  This time the allowance of polling personnel is not increasing in the assembly election. During the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the presiding officers had an allowance of Rs 350 per day and the polling officers Rs 250 per day. That allowance is in this assembly election. However, this time Rs 170 will be paid for the cost of food on the day of polling. It is Rs 20 more than before. Polling personnel are naturally upset as the allowance has not been increased. Currently the market price of everything has gone up. The Election Commission has issued a notification regarding the allowance. It has been reported that the polling personnel will get the same rate for the three-day training.
