Again all schools in West Bengal are closed

All schools in West Bengal will be closed from Tuesday(20/04/2021). The state education department has taken this decision as the corona infection is on the rise. Government schools in the state are starting summer vacation from Tuesday. This holiday will last indefinitely(until further instructions). A notification in this regard has been issued on Monday(19/04/2021) afternoon.


Schools were closed for about 9 months last year due to the Covid situation. Schools were reopened in February this year as the Covid situation came under some control. However, only the students of class IX to XII were taking classes following the rules of Covid. Teachers and staff had to come to school regularly. But since March the situation has been getting worse. The rate of corona infection has intensified. In such a situation, the state government has decided to close the schools by bringing summer vacation forward. State Education Minister Perth Chatterjee said this on Monday. According to him, this decision has been taken keeping in mind the health of the students. For now, teachers have been told not to come to school.

Merit list of SSC SLST 9-10 and 11-12

Merit list of SSC SLST 9-10 The School Service Commission (SSC) has published the revised merit list for the appointment of SLST 9-10 teachers on the orders of the Calcutta High Court.  The merit list was released on the Commission's website on Thursday evening.  The High Court had set a deadline of July 15 for the publication of this merit list.  The list has been published following that instruction.  Incidentally, in 2018, the process of recruitment of SLST IX-X teachers started.  About 11,800 vacancies were filled in seven counselling sessions.  However, the merit list published by the commission at that time did not include the name, ethnic identity and rank of the candidate.  Some of the candidates on the waiting list had filed a case in the Calcutta High Court challenging that.  Following the case, Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay directed the SSC to publish the merit list with names and numbers. ______________New Update_______ Intra and inter District Transfer list The first list of all the primary teachers who have applied for transfer to The Commissioner of School Education in Bikash Bhavan since last December, 2021 has been published. The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). The concerned authorities are hereby requested to take necessary action accordingly. In case of any discrepancy, the Chairpersons of the District Primary School Council and the District Inspectors of Schools (Primary Education) shall bring it to the notice of the School Education Department. Uniform Distribution on Banglar Shiksha Portal

  School Hol Login for Uniform SCMS on Banglar Shiksha Portal In the School Hol login, there would be 'Uniform SCMS' menu at the left menu panel clicking upon which following type of dashboard would appear. Hol in respect of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary Schools has the responsibility to issue work orders in favour of concerned SHG and update the status of the same in the online system. Click on the 'Work Order Issued' tab. List of all tagged SHGs would be available therein.  Then click on 'Submit' button in respect of the concerned SHG for which work order has been issued to update the status as 'Yes'. Following type of screen would appear in this regard. After getting delivery of the school uniforms, concerned Hol of Upper Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary School has the responsibility to acknowledge the same in the online system. If there is/are any improper medium(s), please select that/those medium(s) (one by one) and then select the class, section, subject (any) and click on Search button; student's/students' name will be available in the list against the particular medium.   A memorandum regarding Admission has been published on 25/11/2020 from School Education Department (W.B.) in Banglar Shiksha Portal. Admission rules in Schools for Elementary Classes According to the RTE Act 2009, all children between the ages of 6 and 14 must be admitted to a suitable class in a neighborhood school. Primary education, including pre-primary education, will be provided free of charge. The Calcutta High Court directed the CBI investigation in the corruption case in the appointment of primary teachers. 269 Primary Teachers have been dismissed from jobs.
