Final merit list of PSC

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the final list of names for the posts of more than two and a half thousand Lower Division Assistants (Clerks) in various Secretariat and Directorate Offices of the State Government.  Notice of Clerkship Examination was issued in 2019.  This appointment is then made through competitive examination in multiple stages.  The total number of vacancies announced during the examination was 7227.  And more than four thousand appointments will be made in a few months.  The PSC said a list of additional posts reserved for regional offices would be released later.  According to the list published by PSC, 746 people are being recruited in various offices of the state secretariat, assembly and other places.  More than one and a half thousand appointments will be made in the directorate offices of different departments.  PSC has published a separate list of successful candidates for different directorates.  As per the recommendation of PSC, the concerned departments will start the recruitment process this time.  The enlisted persons will fill the vacancies of clerks in various departments of the state government.  PSC took a written test in two stages for recruitment.  They published the list of successful candidates in the written test several months ago.  These candidates then have to sit for the computer composing test.  I had to compose in Bengali and English at the specified time.  Several candidates did not pass this test.  Computer testing is still going on.  Based on this, the PSC will later publish the final list for recruitment in some reserved posts in the regional offices as well.

  10C Section regarding teachers' transfer (Supreme court order) Relief of teachers transferred away in teacher transfer case in Supreme Court.  The court said that before the implementation of Section 10-C of the Teacher Recruitment Act in the state, those employed are not covered by transfer.  During the hearing of this transfer case on Monday, the court asked the state why the working teachers were transferred 200 km away (Kolkata to Murshidabad)?  The court observed, 'There are many women in this profession.  So this is how we are thinking about the transfer. The instructions in this list are as follows: "The Undersigned is directed to inform that the School Education Department in principle has no objection to the inter/intra district transfer of the Primary School Teachers as included in the attached list(s). On 20th May, the Calcutta High Court directed the state government to settle the arrears of DA of West Bengal state government employees within 3 months. Now the difference between the DA of state employees and central government employees is 31%.  The Calcutta High Court has given a historic verdict in the DA case. State government employees have returned the smile on their faces. The High Court's decision in the original case was based on the Fifth Pay Commission.
