West Bengal Assembly elections 2021
Finally, the Election Commission has announced the date and phases of the Assembly elections in West Bengal. West Bengal Assembly elections will be held in 8 phases. The election will start on 27/03/2021 and will end on 29/04/2021. The results of the assembly elections will be announced on 02/05/2021.
The Election Commission, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Aurora, today announced the pool schedule for the forthcoming state assembly elections at 4.30 pm. Elections will be held in West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Assam has 126 Assembly seats, West Bengal 294, Tamil Nadu 234, Kerala 140 and Puducherry 33.
Polling stations will have to be set up on the ground floor for the state assembly elections.
The total number of booths for West Bengal Assembly elections is 101916.
The number of booths is increasing by 31.65% than before.
There will be 5 people including candidates for door to door campaigning.
The road show can have a convoy of 5 cars at once.
2 people including candidates while submitting nomination papers.
Ajay Naik will be a special observer of the Assembly elections in West Bengal.
Randomization during vote counting.
EVMs of multiple booths need to be calculated by mixing them together.
Only in West Bengal will there be special police surveillance for assembly elections.
